Every member of the team is considered a crucial part of the organization and a key player in the overall functioning and success of the organization. In addition to the staff members listed below, we have dedicated interns and volunteers on the team. Also, several community-based Paralegals and Civic Educators are spread out in our areas of operation to engage in community outreach and empowerment. Five are situated in Kibera and another nine are spreadout in Meru (Tigania East, Tigania West and Nithi), Nakuru, Subukia, Naivasha and Molo Constituencies.

Alice Nyokabi Nyokabi Karuga - Program Officer

Nyokabi has over 5yrs experience in the area of community development and  project management. She holds a degree in social sciences from the catholic university of Eastern Africa and an M.A in Urban Management from the Erasmus University, Rotterdam Netherlands. She has vast experience in the areas of Social Housing, Gender and Governance and the Managing of HIV/AIDs projects.


dinah Dinah Mueni - Program Officer

Mueni has more 5 years experience in Programme Management, resource mobilization, Community Development and Human Rights. She holds a degree in Education from Maseno University and a Diploma in Community Development from Assosiation of Business Managers and Administrators (A.B.M.A) United Kindom


ashe4 Jack Abebe - Communications Officer

Abebe is a communications, marketing, media relations and publicity expert with multiple knowledge and skills in the fields. Abebe holds a Masters in Business Administration (Strategic Management) from Kenyatta University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Technology with IT (Electronic, Public Relations, and Print Journalism) from Maseno University. His key competencies are in Strategic Communications, Communications Strategies for Donor Funded Projects, Public Relations, Media liaison, Electronic Productions, Community Mobilization and Advocacy. He has served in various NGOs both local and international in various communications, media and advocacy capacities with diverse roles in developing and managing communication, advocacy, and marketing and media strategies through proactive communications and media audits.

carolCarol Ng'ang'a - Program Officer (Kibera)

Carol has more than 5 years' experience working in social and refugee services.  She is responsible for coordinating the sexual and gender-based violence program at CREAW’s Kibera Outreach Office.  She graduated with her B.A. in Community Development from Daystar University.Carol is undertaking an M.A. in Rural Sociology and Community Development at the University of Nairobi.

tim Timothy Mwaura - Assistant Program Officer

Timothy works under the Community Empowerment Program. He is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya and works closely with the ICT team in Press-Liaison. He holds an LLB Degree and a Diploma in Information Technology (IT). He is skilled in Lobbying and Advocacy, Community mobilisation and Resource Mobilisation.

cessCecilia Chebon - Legal Officer (Kibera)

Cecilia is the Legal Officer for the office in Kibera.  She is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and handles legal issues on sexual and gender-based violence. She has an L.L.B. from the University of Nairobi and over four years experience in both civil and criminal law.


denisDennis Hombe - IT Specialist

Dennis’ role is to implement Information Technology policies for improving the efficiency of our programs. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Information Systems (IS). He has had 5 years of experience in IT at various institutions. Dennis tutors Mathematics at an Orphanage - Joseph Kang’ethe Children’s Home.





sheilaSheila Bizo-  Office Administrator

Sheila is responsible for overseeing all administration matters within the organization. Her background in secretarial studies has enabled her 8 years of practice as an Office Administrator. She has a Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Nairobi Institute of Business Studies.
wambui Grace Wambui - Office Assistant

Grace is CREAW’s Receptionist and Personal Assistant to the Executive Director. She has over 6 years of experience in customer and client service. She is undertaking a Diploma in Management and Public Relations at the Kenya Institute of Management.  She is married to Stanley Njunge and has 2 sons.
goergeGeorge Nyakundi - Legal Clerk

George is CREAW’s Legal Assistant.  He works closely with our lawyers in overseeing all court cases, drafting pleadings, interviewing and advising clients, and filing of pleadings in court. George has a Diploma in Law from Nairobi Aviation College. He is married with three children.
kioko Theophilus Kioko-  Finance Clerk

Kioko oversees all accounting matters and is the assistant to the Finance Manager. He has past experience as a Court Clerk in the Legal Advocacy Program.  He has completed section 1 and 2 of the CPA at the Kenya College of Accountancy and is currently undertaking Section 3.  He has worked with CREAW over 5 years.

nic Nicodemus Mutembei - Logistics Officer

Nicodemus is responsible for logistical support activities such as making deliveries and driving staff to and from events and meetings.  He has a Court Clerking Certificate.
wangati-mbuto Robert Wangati - Logistics Officer

Robert is a passionate driver responsible for logistics support and maintaining office vehicles. He has had varied experience in Mechanical Engineering and driving. He loves to solve crossword puzzles in his free time.
jose Joseph Ortinar -Assistant Logistics Officer

Joseph is a caretaker, gardener, and security guard.  He has more than 12 years experience and is an incredibly dedicated employee.  He is also a committed husband to his wife, Miriam Ortinar, and a loving father to 2 sets of twins. He loves to play football.
swenzibury-ambani-musonye Swenzibury Ambani Musonye - Security Officer

Swenzibury is an experienced and dedicated Security Officer, with over 7 years of service to various companies around the country. He has previously worked in the Ministry of Public Works, and is undertaking Computer Studies. Ambani is married, and has two sons. He enjoys reading, and watching educative films.
