Internships

CREAW is passionate about enhancing students' skills and building their capacity to address women's human rights and related issues.

The Centre for Rights Education and Awareness is an ideal place for aspiring human rights activists to complete an internship. Our interns are generally young people who have the keen interest to learn more about human rights and other gender-related issues. An internship with CREAW would provide you with the opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a successful NGO, collaborate with professionals to initiate change in society and practically apply skills learned throughout your education.

A Students Exchange Programme
Currently, CREAW has a long-standing relationship with the University of Nairobi - School of Law. Through this program, we ensure the intake of six law students, every three months. On this quarterly basis, we host the students from Parklands Campus under one of our programs, dubbedYouth Taking Charge of their Sexuality. The volunteer students are positioned at CREAW to help expand our Access to Justice Programme, which provides legal aid for women and children.

At the end of the volunteering period, the students are able to articulate issues of basic human rights vis-à-vis sexual violence and other forms of gender-based violence.
